It is a requirement that all adult Club members who cycle with student groups, on Sunday cycles or other Club events, complete the child protection vetting process (commonly known as Garda Vetting) for Willow Wheelers Cycling Club.
The steps to complete the Garda Vetting process for Willow Wheelers Cycle Club are as follows:
- Download the vetting form from Cycling Ireland, available at the following link: https://www.cyclingireland.ie/downloads/VettingFormNVB1-CyclingIreland.pdf
- Complete the form paying attention to fulfilling the Identification requirements as outlined on Page 3 of the document.
- Have a “responsible person” as detailed under “Step 3” co-sign the form.
- Mail the completed form along with photocopies of the IDs used, and marked “Private and Confidential”, to: Authorised Liaison, Cycling Ireland, The Clock House, National Sports Campus, Snugborough Rd, Dublin 15.
- An email will then be sent to the applicant with a link to follow to complete the application.
- Upon completion, a final email will be sent to the applicant to inform them if the outcome of their application. Please forward this outcome of this email along with the date of successful Garda vetting to safeguarding@willowwheelers.club.
