36th 100 Mile Charity Cycle in commemoration of Christy McDaid
Hi Willow Wheelers,
Our 36th 100 Mile Charity Cycle will be in commemoration of our Club Founder, the late Christy McDaid, and will take place on Sunday 4th May.
This will be a particularly special and poignant cycle following the recent passing of Christy, and we hope that as many of our current and past Club members and many others with an interest in our Club will participate in the event. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with friends new and old, as well as raise funds for some very deserving causes which the Club supports. You can do the full event or your own Charity Cycle and join the peloton at any stage of the cycle. The key message is: everyone is welcome and we hope as many as possible can join us on our 100 Mile Charity Cycle!
Our Chief Marshals this year are Alan McLean and Mairead Tobin. A meeting for marshals, drivers and the support team for the 100 Mile Charity Cycle will take place in Willow Park School Cafeteria at 7:30pm on Wednesday 30 April. If you wish to become a cycling marshal, please contact Alan, Mairead or any WW Committee member.
Please download your “Sponsor A Spoke” sponsorship card directly from our website. You will need to register to participate. Further details of our cycle registration and how to donate funds are here: https://willowwheelers.club/2020-100-mile-charity-cycle/ww-36th-charity-100-mile-cycle-sunday-4-may-2025/
Safe cycling.
