100 Mile Cycle Fundraising Reminder

Dear Willow Wheelers,

Welcome back to our 2022/23 cycling season.  In addition to our Sunday cycles, we are planning a full set of events for the coming year after a couple of years when we were unable to run some of our usual activities due to Covid-related restrictions and we will be in touch with you in the coming weeks with our updated event calendar.

Well done to all of you who participated in the 100 Mile Charity Cycle last May.  As we were unable to run some of our end-of-year events, we are sending this reminder for anyone who has yet to send us funds raised for the event or wish to send in support of our charitable causes.

As you are probably aware from news reports, there is drought and famine in Kenya and Ethiopia and we have recently been approached by many of the missions that we support there for food and medicinal aid in this, their hour-of-need.  We would like to be in a position to help as many of these projects as possible and hope to allocate these funds by the end of this month.  With that in mind could we humbly ask any of you who have not submitted funds raised to do so ASAP so that we can come to their assistance.

The funds can be delivered as follows:

  1. Donate through our website (see Donate Link: https://willowwheelers.club/donate/)
  2. Bank transfer details are available from any Committee member. (Note please ensure you include your name on all transfers to WW Mission Fund bank account)
  3. Cash or Cheque payable to “Willow Wheelers Mission Fund” can be delivered c/o “Willow Wheelers” to front office of Willow Park School, marked for my attention.

Many thanks for your efforts and support.

Christy Mc Daid

on behalf of Willow Wheelers C.C.
